Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hebbal was
started in the year 1965. The Vidyalaya has classes from I to XII with an enrolment
of 2691
· with Science and Commerce Streams
· The Vidyalaya provides opportunities to its students to participate in a variety of activities. The Vidyalaya participates in Games, Sports and other activities organized locally and also at Inter Kendriya Vidyalaya level by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The activities include Mathematics Olympiad, Green Olympiad, National Level Essay and Painting Competitions, Youth Parliament, Adventure Activities, Educational Tours, Scouting etc.
· The Vidyalaya has a well- stocked library of over 20,000 books to inculcate regular reading habits. We subscribe to over 30 magazines and periodicals of educational and literary nature.
· Well-qualified specialists provide computer Education from Class III to Class XII. The Vidyalaya has three well- equipped Computer Laboratories with a total of 56 computers.
· Internet access is available to the available to the students in the library and the computer laboratory.
· The Vidyalaya provides modern education using the latest Educational technology with OHP, computers, Internet, and LCD projectors to prepare students for life in the 21st century. The Vidyalaya has been chosen as a Pilot School for the INTEL Technology Aided Learning (TAL) Project.
· The Vidyalaya is adequately staffed with highly qualified and experienced teachers. The approved staff strength for the session is 90 with 78 teachers.
· The Vidyalaya provides coaching in sports, craft and fine arts. Remedial coaching classes are run for Class X and XII students from July to December.
· The Vidyalaya provides special coaching in Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball.
